NFA Behavioral Health Canterbury is a Dual Diagnosis Program for adult men and women located in the beautiful countryside of Canterbury, New Hampshire. The 20-bed facility allows for a more intimate setting compared to large rehab centers.

Our residential program offers specialized and effective treatment for clients struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes highly-skilled medical and psychiatric professionals, Masters-level therapists, as well as recovery case managers and peer recovery support.

Clinical therapies like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) are used to help patients overcome addiction. You’ll be given nutritious, chef-prepared meals and enjoy gender-separate living accommodations. With a low staff-to-client ratio and a peaceful atmosphere, NFA Behavioral Health is more like a home than a medical facility.

Holistic Therapies

New Freedom Academy offers holistic activities that include: yoga, meditation, and physical exercise. Physical exercise is proven to help to boost endorphins, reduce stress, increase self-confidence, and improve overall mental health.
