Residential Primary Drug Rehab Program
With sweeping panoramic views of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and set atop 77 acres, Green Mountain Treatment Center is Granite Recovery Center’s flagship primary residential drug rehab facility for men and women ages 18 years and older.
Our full continuum of care includes medical detox for clients who do not need medical intervention, are not in danger to themselves and are capable of self-evacuation in an emergency. Clients will transition from detox to our residential treatment center, partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program.
Holistic Therapies
In addition to our comprehensive 12-Step curriculum, clinical psychotherapy, as well as peer support, Green Mountain Treatment Center also incorporates a variety holistic therapies.
We use holistic therapies such as yoga, meditation, gym work, and also exercise. These serve to strengthen the connection between the mind, body, and also spirit. For those in early recovery, holistic therapies can be instrumental in several ways. They help by strengthening the body, calming the mind, enriching the spirit, aiding in physical discomforts, boosting feel-good endorphins, and also promoting restful sleep.

Green Mountain Treatment Center was an amazing experience from start to finish. Obviously treatment was not my first choice of places I wanted to check in to. Being that I definitely needed help, I’m happy I chose Green Mountain. This place was exactly what I needed to put addiction behind me!!

Going here in 2019 was the best decision I ever made for myself. Far from easy, a lot of work & pain to work through but I’d never be who I am without putting my pride down & taking care of myself. I was homeless, addicted, and at the end of my life at 28. After doing the work around why I was using substances with the help of the staff and a continuing program, I can say 5 years later I am truly happy, & at peace. I never thought I would be a homeowner, married with two children and working in the medical field along with pursuing further education. I met some amazing people at this place along the way.

Going to Green Mountain 5 years ago was a life changing experience. I had been to previous treatment centers in the past, but there holds a very powerful energy with GRC, I was finally able to receive answers to what was going on inside me that I could never understand before, and being met with such compassion, love and understanding. I am a very proud GRC Alumni and now dedicate my life to helping those in need as I was once among the many.
This facility in Effingham NH is absolutely amazing. They saved my son’s life. They were the only facility to answer the phone at 7pm when all other facilities around had voice-mail. We were treated with respect from minute one. We were able to sign my son up that night and planned to take him in the next day. He has learned how to work on himself and make the decisions to stay recovered. They even set him up with sober living. The work this facility does is amazing. I’m not sure how other facilities are but I have nothing but good to say about Green Mountain! The staff and facility are the best!!!Thankful Mom
All of the staff are amazing from start to finish and even after you leave they are still willing and committed to helping you out. The staff treats you like a person and not just a number. They are respectful, kind and helpful to you.

So I have been at green mtn 3 times and a repeat offender because I wasn’t listening to the message. I can’t have a sip of alcohol, I’m allergic, do the work.?ok so thanks to the grace of god for this place I call home. The staff is loving, caring,, and brutally honest with what works. They call me Frosty, I spent three months on the mountain. An amazing experience that saved my life and helped me get my children and family back in my life. Green Mountain Treatment Center assists you in finding your way to build a solid foundation as you begin your healing journey. I am grateful for the knowledge gained as I personally successfully the program in 2017. I am still sober today. Words cannot describe the wonderful things this Mountain has done for me. It was my first and God willing my only treatment center experience and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. A majority of the staff here are also in recovery, which makes an incredible difference knowing that the people teaching me have been exactly where I was. The 12 steps and Green Mountain brought me towards God and led me to a peace that I never could have imagined. I thank God every day for my time on this mountain. I have worked at Green Mountain Treatment Center since October 2018. Throughout my time as an employee I have seen clients transform their lives through our program. I have worked at Green Mountain Treatment since May of 2021. I will say that the amount of care and support that I get to witness on a daily basis not only for clients but between staff as well is amazing! Only job I’ve had were every department supports each other and if you have questions there is always someone right there to help you learn as well as grow. I feel blessed to go to work everyday and show up for our clients the same way someone showed up for me when I needed them most. I would highly recommend our facility for anyone who is struggling and seeking help with substance use.
