Adult-oriented and gender-separate, Green Mountain Treatment Center utilizes a program called R.E.S.T., or Recovery Education and Skills Training. R.E.S.T is a comprehensive lecture, discussion, and action-based curriculum developed by integrating time-tested 12 Step principles with evidence-based clinical practices and the personal experiences of men and women in recovery from Substance Use Disorder.
Holistic Therapies
In addition to our comprehensive 12-Step curriculum, clinical psychotherapy, as well as peer support, Green Mountain Treatment Center also incorporates a variety holistic therapies.
We use holistic therapies such as yoga, meditation, gym work, and also exercise. These serve to strengthen the connection between the mind, body, and also spirit. For those in early recovery, holistic therapies can be instrumental in several ways. They help by strengthening the body, calming the mind, enriching the spirit, aiding in physical discomforts, boosting feel-good endorphins, and also promoting restful sleep.

They call me Frosty, I spent three months on the mountain. An amazing experience that saved my life and helped me get my children and family back in my life. I’m an addict and alcoholic of the worst type. I had no hope and didn’t care anymore. I now have hope and a purpose . The staff and I mean all of them became a blessing to me. Green Mountain Treatment Center assists you in finding your way to build a solid foundation as you begin your healing journey. I am grateful for the knowledge gained as I personally successfully the program in 2017. I am still sober today. I am proud to say I also had the opportunity to help others who received services at Green Mountain Treatment Center for over 4.5 years.

Words cannot describe the wonderful things this Mountain has done for me. It was my first and God willing my only treatment center experience and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. A majority of the staff here are also in recovery, which makes an incredible difference knowing that the people teaching me have been exactly where I was. The 12 steps and Green Mountain brought me towards God and led me to a peace that I never could have imagined. I thank God every day for my time on this mountain. People call it Magic Mountain for a reason. And the VIEWS make it so much better. I’ve met friends that turned into family and will be family for life. I’m so blessed and grateful for the opportunity to attend treatment here.

I have worked at Green Mountain Treatment Center since October 2018. Throughout my time as an employee I have seen clients transform their lives through our program. It has been an honor to be a part of an organization that remains dedicated to our mission. I have had the privilege of serving individuals who have changed their lives and returned to work along side me. Our treatment center creates a recovery friendly environment and promotes growth within the clients as well as a the employees. I have worked at Green Mountain Treatment since May of 2021. I will say that the amount of care and support that I get to witness on a daily basis not only for clients but between staff as well is amazing! Only job I’ve had were every department supports each other and if you have questions there is always someone right there to help you learn as well as grow. I feel blessed to go to work everyday and show up for our clients the same way someone showed up for me when I needed them most. I would highly recommend our facility for anyone who is struggling and seeking help with substance use.
