Primary Residential Addiction Treatment with Medical Detox
Stretched across a 72-acre rolling landscape with sweeping panoramic views of the White Mountains, Green Mountain Treatment Center is home to our medical detox facility and flagship primary residential treatment facility. Primary Residential Addiction Treatment
NFA Behavioral Health has two locations, both in New Hampshire.
One location is situated along the quiet backroads of Canterbury, N.H., New Freedom Academy resides on 17 idyllic acres and provides 20 primary residential addiction treatment beds for men and women ages 18 years and older. Like Green Mountain, New Freedom Academy is a 12-step-centered clinical program and provides a very low clinician-to-patient ratio. Read more about NFA Behavioral Health Canterbury.
Our other location is located in Salem, N.H. NFA Behavioral Health Salem is a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program that hosts multiple clinical, evidence based tracks for substance use disorder and mental health conditions. Our multidisciplinary team here includes highly skilled masters-level therapists, recovery case managers, peer-to-peer recovery support, medical, and psychiatric professionals.
Extended Rehab Care Exclusively for Men
Freedom House is a gender-specific, 16-bed, extended-care facility for men ages 18 and older that have “stepped down” from primary treatment at Green Mountain Treatment Center. Located in Effingham, NH, this extended care program is a short ride from required intensive outpatient program participation, medical care, and 12-Step meetings. Men residing at Freedom House benefit from time spent working the 12 Steps while developing transitional life skills in a safe and supportive environment. Read more about Freedom House.
Extended Rehab Care Exclusively for Women
Harmony House is a gender-specific, 15-bed extended care facility for women ages 18 and older. It is ideal for those who have completed primary residential treatment. This program allows women to continue working on the 12-Step curriculum, as well as fulfill their intensive outpatient requirements. Sober Living Home Exclusively for Men
Queen City Sober Living is a gender-specific, 18-bed structured sober living house for men ages 18 and older. Queen City is an ideal living solution for men who have completed primary care. They can then remain in a structured, sober environment. Situated in the heart of Manchester, N.H., this comfortable sober living home is conveniently located close to employment opportunities, social activities, and 12-Step meetings. While at Queen City Sober Living, men regularly attend 12-Step meetings and workshops, Steel on Steel meetings, and skill-building workshops; as well as submit to random drug testing. Sober Living Home Exclusively for Women
Vision House East and Vision House West are sober living homes, also in Manchester, N.H., that cater to women 18 and older. Each of these structured sober living residences feature 15 beds. They are also conveniently close to employment opportunities and mandatory off-site meetings and classes. Women at Vision House East and Vision House West participate in 12-Step meetings and workshops, life skills classes, and alumni sponsorship in addition to house chores, accountability groups, and peer events.
