Canterbury NH Drug Rehab Center

NFA Behavioral Health has one of its locations in the sun-lit backroads of sleepy Canterbury, New Hampshire. Tucked away in the pastoral pockets of quiet farm and country land, this NH drug rehab facility sits on 17 acres of soothing respite. The intimate drug rehabilitation center campus is both hidden and conveniently accessed by major routes North and South.

Central New Hampshire and Historic Shaker Region

Canterbury, N.H. is a small town of approximately 2,300 residents, stretching over 44 miles. Bordered by Merrimack River and Soucook River, the town is mostly farms and forest (home to Ayers State Forest and Shaker State Forest). The town is probably best known for its historic landmark and fair of the same name: Shaker Village, which is a preserved designation of one of the nation’s first Shaker communities.

Canterbury also borders a number of New Hampshire towns: Webster to the west; Tilton, Belmont, and Gilmanton to the north; Pittsfield to the east; and Loudon and Concord to the south. Canterbury is only about 15 minutes from the state capital, Concord; which is home to a lively yet quaint city of arts, culture, shopping, and recreation. Route 93, one of the state’s major highways can also be picked up in Concord. This makes NFA Behavioral Health’s location convenient for travel from any direction, especially from north and south.

NH Drug Rehab Close to Boston and MA Suburbs

NFA Behavioral Health is located just off of Route 93N, one of two major routes from Boston and Massachusetts city suburbs (the other being Route 95N). Our drug rehab in Canterbury is convenient for Massachusetts residents, because it is only an hour away from the noise and stress of home; while still being a quiet and much needed respite in nature to heal from addiction.

Commutable from Coastal Maine Points

Canterbury is located in the center of N.H., which makes it 1-2 hours from most points of interest in the state. Including the Lakes and Mountains region or the Seacoast area. Coastal Southern Maine—with well-known ports such as Portland—are also just over an hour’s drive, with an international airport located right there. Those traveling from Portland and nearby towns have a few options when traveling west: Route 101W, Route 202W, or Route 4W.

Proudly Serving New England and Nearby

Many of our drug rehabilitation clients at NFA Behavioral Health travel further than nearby Massachusetts or Maine. Quality, effective treatment is worth it. Enduring sobriety is worth it. Clients come to us from NH, MA, ME—but also, from CT, RI, and beyond. We’re only approximately 1.5 hours from Vermont, 2 hours from Rhode Island, and 3 hours from Connecticut.
