Nestled in the rolling countryside of tranquil Canterbury, New Hampshire, and set upon 17 wooded acres, New Freedom Academy provides a secluded and picturesque residential drug rehab setting for post-detox drug and alcohol addiction treatment. Known for its cozy campus and tight-knit familial environment, the small, serene, 20-bed facility features a low client-to-clinician ratio.

12-Step-Centered Residential Drug Rehab

Like its sister facility, Green Mountain Treatment Center in Effingham, NH, New Freedom Academy approaches drug and alcohol treatment with an abstinence-based, 12-Step curriculum integrated with evidence-based clinical therapies. Clients work the Steps from day one while benefiting from individual and group therapy sessions. Our engaging 12-Step curriculum provides a proven roadmap for defining one’s relationship with substance use, understanding its roots and triggers, recognizing past wrongs and reconciling their effects on others.
