Derry is New Hampshire’s fourth largest town with a population of approximately 33,000 and geography of 35.5 miles. The town is bordered by Hampstead to the East, Windham and Salem to the South, Chester and Auburn to the North, and Londonderry to the West. Downtown is a quaint collection of restaurants, theaters, and shops; with farms and fruit orchards just out of town. One of New Hampshire’s main highways run through the town—Route 93–making access from Massachusetts and Maine convenient. Two other major roads, Route 102 and Route 28, bisect the town to offer even more central accessibility. Derry is also only 20 minutes from Manchester International Airport in Manchester, N.H.
Aftercare Close to Boston and Suburbs
Granite House is seconds off of Route 93N, one of two major routes from Boston and neighboring Massachusetts suburbs (the other being Route 95N). Close to the border, Derry is a quick 1-2 hour drive from Boston and most Massachusetts points, offering a quiet transitional environment away from busy city life.
Commutable from Coastal NH and ME
Granite House is also within commutable distance to coastal geographies in Southern NH and ME. Derry is only about an hour from Portsmouth and Seacoast NH via Route 101E, and approximately an hour and a half from Portland, Maine via Route 95N.

Our patients come from all over New England, typically beginning treatment at one of our primary drug rehab facilities, and then stepping down to Granite House. Derry, NH is closer to home for many of them, which makes the transition that much easier. Clients come to us from NH, MA, ME, and VT; but also, from points further south and west. Granite House is conveniently only 2 hours CT, 4-5 hours from NY, and 2 hours from RI.
